Fifty educators from across the country spent a week at Discovery's world headquarters outside of Washington, DC during the summer of 2012. The week was filled with guest speakers at the forefront of STEM, field trips to leading institutions where Fellows observed real-world applications of STEM subject matter, and opportunities for networking and collaborating with peers from across the nation. Guest speakers included top STEM experts from the U.S. Department of Education, Smithsonian's National Air & Space Museum, the International Spy Museum, and C-SPAN.
TAXES. Taxes, including income taxes, on prizes are the sole responsibility of winners. At the program's conclusion, Discovery will provide each winner with a written estimate of the program's fair market value (including the value of all meals, lodging and transportation provided).
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. All expenses related to acceptance and use of the prizes and not specified are the sole responsibility of winners.
